EMI is now equipped with a thermal camera

EMI has equipped its production workshop with a thermal camera, but do you know what it is used for?

The thermal camera allows us to detect any changes in the thermal properties of the processes during the project and development phases, but also during series production.

This tool allows us to take thermal images of parts and tools:

• in the project phase: for example, to check the performance of the tooling control circuits or to check the part temperature at ejection in order to guarantee the tolerances agreed in the drawing
• in the production phase: to periodically check the performance of the control circuits or to carry out in-depth analyses when parts out of tolerance are detected

It is therefore a good control tool for the preventive detection of deviations and an effective means of investigation in the event of non-quality on parts.
