We implement our business strategy through a recognised integrated management system ISO 9001:2015 (Quality) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environment) based on the improvement of our processes as well as on the satisfaction of our partners. An ISO 13485 certification process for medical devices is underway.

Continuous improvement

We aim for continuous improvement in customer satisfaction and process efficiency through tools such as the training of a multidisciplinary team in the Six Sigma Green Belt method or the daily implementation of the QRQC method.

Quality assurance in the project phase

As soon as the project is launched, a Project Quality contact is appointed to define and conduct the product qualification plan, and to agree on the quality controls during serial production, in accordance with the quality level expected by the customer.

We rely on a milestone-based approach, taking into account customer deadlines and cost control. The implementation of a PLM solution helps us to better centralise, share and secure information as well as to automate and homogenise processes and methods, with the benefit of better project management.

Because quality is a top priority in our global strategy, we have put in place strong internal procedures to achieve the best satisfaction results:

  • Establishment of a measurement protocol agreed with the customer (measurement reference system, measurement strategy, measurement position...)
  • Creation of complex measurement programs in OFF-LINE mode by our teams of metrologists in order to optimise the delivery time of measurement reports
  • Adapted metrology in the development and capability study of manufacturing processes
  • Validation of the measurement equipment defined for serial production (R&R)
  • Inspection of the moulding parts of tour tools during manufacturing process
  • Involvement of the engineering and development teams in the design and production of functional or complex test equipment
  • Anticipation of process risks through Process FMEA studies 
  • Establishment of the quality assurance plan in serial production with control equipments and frequencies adapted to the function of the products
  • Presentation of initial samples on PPAP or VDA support
  • Maintaining the same interlocutor for Project Quality until the first deliveries are guaranteed

We can also involve local partners for specific analyses.

Quality assurance during serial production phase

As soon as production begins, an interlocutor for Series Quality contact is assigned to the project in order to provide technical support for product improvement.

Qualified personnel trained to use quality tools are present 24/7 to guarantee the best possible quality of your parts.

In order to guarantee a high level of quality, we rely on the mastery of manufacturing processes and adapted controls:

  • Supplier quality assurance applied to supplies or services critical to the quality of the product
  • Analysis of the thermoplastic material (internal or external)
  • Validation of the start of production
  • Performing operator self-checking and in-process product audits
  • Conducting process audits to verify compliance with the standard
  • Quality insurance integrated within the assembly and customisation activities
  • Control card and SPC
  • Camera control for very high speed processes
  • Keyence's advanced and fast IM-8030T control system for accurate control of even the most technical products. 
  • Improvement and progress approach according to PDCA/QRQC/8D/Six Sigma

EMI also integrates computer-aided production management (CAPM) and real-time supervision to track production from order entry in the ERP system to product delivery.
